Wrightsburg is the fifth chapter of Resistance 3.

Synopsis

After holding off the Chimera, the last Haven residents are evacuated from the town. Susan urges Joseph to help Malikov for the sake of everyone including their son Jack, who is ill and would not be able to survive the inevitable harsh environment. Capelli is convinced and reluctantly separates from his wife and son before taking Jack's mitten as a keepsake. He escapes Haven before it is annihilated into nothing by the Terraformer.

Two days later, Capelli and Malikov travel upstream on the Mississippi River by riverboat. On the way they are forced into the flooded town of Wrightsburg to avoid patrolling Goliaths. However, the town is infested with Grims and they are eventually spotted by Goliaths, Longlegs, and drones. Despite fighting off the pursuing Chimera, their ship is destroyed by a Goliath.
