Woman and Children First is the fourth chapter of Resistance 3.

Synopsis

Capelli reunites with Susan and informs her and the other residents to take all essentials and prepare to leave Haven while he and the other residents hold off Chimeran forces. He then finds out that the man who is looking for him is Dr. Fyodor Malikov, who had been inadvertently responsible for bringing the Chimera's attention to Haven. Though Capelli is furious at Malikov, he hears out what Malikov had come for.

Malikov explains that since the nuclear destruction of the Chimeran fleet at the Chicxulub Crater, the nuclear energy from the explosion channeled through the Chimeran tower network toward New York City, where it opened a wormhole. Although the wormhole's purpose remains unknown, the tower in New York that is maintaining the portal is slowly freezing the planet and making it uninhabitable for humanity. Malikov came looking for Capelli to help him in his quest to shut down the New York tower. But Capelli refuses to help him and focuses his attention on defending the town.
