Twin Falls is the fifth campaign level of Resistance 2.

Synopsis

After having learned of the Chimera's intention to breach the Liberty Defense Perimeter, Echo Team flies to the city of Twin Falls, Idaho. The Chimera have already launched their attack on the town in an attempt to weaken the defenses in preparation for the Chimeran fleet's arrival. Upon arriving at Twin Falls, Echo's shuttle is shot down by Stalkers. Hale volunteers in crash landing the shuttle while the rest of Echo Team parachute out over the city. After surviving the crash, Hale eventually reunites with Echo before heading to the town's defense towers. Hale also learns from Benjamin Warner that he and his family had lived in Twin Falls.

Upon reaching the towers Echo split up to activate the towers. Hale and Joseph Capelli head for the north tower. Upon reaching the tower's upper levels, Capelli is dragged away, but survives, by a Mother Spinner. Hale reaches the top of the tower where he fights and defeats the Mother Spinner in which it falls to its death. With the threat neutralized, Echo rearmed the defense towers which destroys several battleships and its escorts.

• Intel 13: Located behind the right side of the car in the driveway where you first see the Grim running past the gates.
• Intel 12: Located at 115 Washington Drive, in a doorway to the left inside the parlor of the house.
• Intel 11: Located right before you enter the diner. You will find it right behind one of the military trucks in front of the diner.

Trivia

• This level is littered with Easter Eggs ranging from Teddy Bears to Easter Island Heads.
• Right at the beginning of the mission, after leaving the first house, but before entering the garage, if when you leave the house you look straight after at the gate, you will see a Grim running quickly from left to right.
• Two cocoons can be found near a swing set in Twin Falls. One is taller and one is shorter. It could be a child and their parent playing at the swings before the incident, adding a creepy fact to the players that even children get converted into Grims.
• In the mission 115 Warrington Drive in Twin Falls, next to a swing you can see a doghouse with a cocoon. Perhaps in addition to humans, dogs have also been converted into Grims.
• In one of the houses, there is a bedroom with two Grims lying on a bed. These Grims are dead but still have their clothes on. Pills or drugs can be seen lying on the bed and also next to the bed. It can be assumed that these two Grims were actually a couple before they got infected and that the pills were used to commit suicide.

• If you listen closely enough when you are near Warner's home, you can hear a dog barking nearby. When you get close enough, you hear what sounds like a smack, the dog whimpers and then another smack, silencing the dog.
• If before entering the basement of Benjamin Warner's house, the player looks outside the window, you can see Warner shooting at Grims inside the house.
• At Warner's home, 115 Warrington Drive, there are pictures of Warner and his wife and son - Laura and Jacob. There is also a picture of Warner on a fishing boat holding a fish with Hawthorne - confirming there was a friendship between the two prior to the events in Resistance 2.
• At the beginning of the mission Main Street, if you check the building on the right side, you will see the Herb Wong's New China store, if you listen you will hear music that appears to be of Chinese origin, and in the store next door, at Manley Chaps you can hear another music, but this time it appears to be of American origin.
• At the gas pumps, if you pass near the entrance, a bell will ring, which would signal a new customer arriving at the gas pumps.
• In the movie theatre, the music that is playing is familiar to the theme music of Resistance: Fall of Man.
• At the movie theatre there are two movie posters featuring alternate movie celebrities and directors:

  • The music that’s playing in the theater is Gregor Narholz's "Fatal Delusions".
• During the battle against the Mother Spinner, there are Rossmore shotguns on the ground. One of them resembles the Rossmore 236 model from Resistance: Fall of Man.
• There is a glitch in the Mother Spinner battle. If it manages to hit the player with its claw while chasing them, they might fall down onto a landing platform which is the platform that SRPA used to extract Hale.
• In Twin Falls it is similar to the Orick level in terms of the player being able to destroy and interact with the scenery, although some have the same interaction, it is also possible to see new ones.
  • Car: Explosion of cars with flames after exploding, glass breaking of cars, cars with black and white tires can be punctured, lifting of the hood/trunk and doors of some cars when shooting, possibility of shooting against the lights on top of the roof of the cars and the same come out without damaging the car itself.
  • Wood: Breakage of wooden benches, breakage of small wooden table, breakage of radios, break of wooden tv screen with spark and smoke at the end, breakage of wooden chairs.
  • Glass: Breakage of several glass in the scenery, breakage of practically all the lamps of the ceiling, glass breakage in showcases, breakage of lamp of gray office, breakage of glass bottle.
  • Others: Breakage of chimera cocoons, it is possible to go up and down the slide if you do it contrary to your purpose, breaking of dishes, breaking ceiling fans into 3 parts.
