Staten Island is the first chapter of Resistance: Burning Skies.

Synopsis

Firemen Tom Riley, along with Engine 174, arrive at a power station that is in flames. Tom becomes separated from his fellow firemen after accidentally falling into the lower levels of the station through a broken floor. As Tom works his way back up, he sees one of the firemen, Larson being attacked and killed by Longlegs. Tom is forced to fight his way out and rescue one of his fellow firemen, Smitty.

Once outside, Tom witness New York City is currently being invaded by the Chimera. Tom makes his way through the city and eventually picking up a broadcast asking him to assist with the evacuation. Tom follows the directions given by the broadcast, eventually meeting up with a woman named Ellie Martinez, the leader of the self-titled "Minutemen". With the support of Ellie and her ally Mac, Tom fights his way to a highway bridge where he reunites with his wife Natalie and daughter Rachel.

Tom sends his family to safety, promising to find them. As more Chimera show up, Riley is forced to stay behind with Ellie to buy fleeing citizens time to evacuate. Along the way, Tom and Ellie come across a military truck carrying alien technology called Gray Tech, which demonstrates the capabilities of upgrading their weapons. They are attacked by an Executioner, which they are able to slay it. Tom and Ellie eventually escape through a traffic tunnel as the Chimera launches Spire Missiles before sealing the tunnel with explosives.

Intel Locations

• Unusual Fluctuations: It is found on a control panel behind on the left side of the Chimeran ship.
• European News Blackout: After the melee tutorial, it is in the room where a woman is screaming for help.
• See ya soon, Kid: It is found on the bottom floor of the building where you first picked up the grenades.
• Know Where To Go If They Go Without You: After receiving the Mule, the intel is found behind a red car.
• Condolences: After meeting Ellie and the Minutemen, it is found in a room with the last door in the wall that is not closed.
• Shipping Manifest: It is seen during the cutscene with Ellie and recieving the first piece of Grey Tech. After the cutscene, it is lying next to a soldier and his carbine.
• Intelligence Advisory: It is found behind an overturn truck in a larger area after defeating the Executioner.

Gray Tech Locations

• Ellie will take take a piece of Grey Tech out a truck during a cutscene at the end of the chapter (unmissable).
• After defeating the Executioner you'll have to run to make it to the tunnel. At a certain point you'll enter a bigger area with trucks and the entrance to the tunnel is at the right side of the area. Instead of going to the entrance of the tunnel, look straight ahead. There'll be a truck that is on his side and the roof is facing you. Look behind the truck on the ground. There's a piece of Grey Tech next to it.
