I am both intrigued and concerned by the researched into the recently discovered
artifacts known as "gray tech". The components we have discovered clearly show a
level of technological sophistication beyond anything the Chimera have created.
Furthermore, the isotope ratios in the metals forming these components suggested that
the materials were not terrestrial in origin. Since we have discovered some of these
components inside the Chimeran towers, we must conclude that the creators of this
technology had contacted with the Chimera. However, at this point we cannot conclude
whether they were allies or enemies.
