On December 31st, a platoon of allied British and Maquis forces attempted an assault
on a large conversion center in Hamburg. The operation had been planning for two
weeks, but when their troops arrived at the site they found that all the Chimera in the
facility had been killed. British reconnaissance had reported the center in full operation
only the day before, with an estimated 400 Chimeran troops inside. According to the
field report from British intelligence, the Chimera had been killed with short bladed
weapons and many of their bodies were mutilated and eaten.
