Retribution is the sixteenth chapter of Resistance 3.

Synopsis[]

Joseph Capelli is forced to fight his way out of the pit that is teeming with Feral Chimera. He eventually returns to the surface and finds himself overlooking the prison's motor pool, where Chimeran Death Squads have launched their attack on the prison. Herbert contacts Capelli that he is currently freeing the prisoners before telling him that he must destroy the last drone in Mick's possession to ensure that he never harms anyone again.

Joseph tracks down the drone to the central arena, where Mick had set the machine on his "throne". He is ambushed by Mick but Joseph manages to overpower the Warden before killing him with his Magnum. Joseph disables the drone and he is then reunited with Herbert with the escaped prisoners. Together they leave the prison as it falls to Chimeran Dropships. Thereafter Joseph parted ways with Herbert before making a long trek to New York City.

Trivia[]

  • There are at least 7 text journals, and one Malikov journal found in this chapter, making it the only location in Resistance 3 not to include audio journals.
  • The Malikov journals from this point would be taken over by Herbert Sawicki narration wise.
  • In the mini cutscene where a Warden is holding a Wildfire, this character changes after replaying the mission.
