In the past months the Chimera have seized several key areas along the U.S.
border. Initially we thought these were merely targets of opportunity. However, recent
intelligence suggests the Chimera are using these areas as staging grounds to launch
spire attacks on key military installations.

The town of Orick was hit in a surprise aerial attack four days ago. Orick is a small
logging town in Northern California located in a gap in our anti-aircraft grid. We are
still investigating how the Chimera mapped our AA battery allocation, but the damage
has been done. The enemy has a foothold on the west coast that brings them within
range of launching a spire attack on San Francisco. Your mission is to eliminate their
leadership and destroy whatever infrastructure you find in the area.
