The threat in Chicago is now largely contained. Specter Team has decimated the
Chimeran command structure, seized key strategic locations, and eliminating much of
the Chimeran infrastructure in the city. The result is a major blow against Daedalus'
strategy in the U.S. He had channeled a disproportionate number of command units
into Chicago in hopes of breaching the Liberty Defense Perimeter. But after this series
of defeats, the Chimeran forces are in no position to mount a ground attack on the
perimeter. This marks a crucial turning point in the battle for control of the continent
and will likely result in the Chimeran significantly altering their plan of attack.
