Luxembourg City is a commune with city status, and the capital of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. It stands at the confluence of the Alzette and Pétrusse Rivers in southern Luxembourg.
History[]
After Europe fell under Chimeran occupation in 1950, the Maquis established a hidden headquarters in Luxembourg City. On September 3, 1951, the Chimera discovered the Maquis headquarters and launched a massive assault on Luxembourg City, in which the Maquis and their British allies were forced to evacuate to Reims.[1]
