Lexi Kuptchenko (Russian: Лекси Купченко), also known by a Western audience as The Runner, was a Russian refugee. He first appeared in The Silent Garden.

Biography[]

In the year 1947 Lexi arrived at the British Embassy in Estonia. There’s an official statement from the registrar at the British Embassy in Estonia, dated 15th February 1947. It states that the Runner arrived at the embassy claiming that he had traveled most of the length of Russia and reporting of a “catastrophe” to the east. He was referred by the Embassy to as a “refugee” - an acknowledgement that he escaped serious conflict - but the registrar’s statement did not suggest that any plan was put into action to investigate Lexi’s claims. In that same year Lexi died en route to Great Britain, carrying a Chimeran skull.

  • The Runner is a mixture of canon and non-canon. In Resistance 2's Shattered History trailer he is mentioned as just dying but in The Silent Garden his granddaughter and, maybe his daughter, are non-canon.
