King Company was a military unit of the United States 1st Ranger Regiment that participated in Operation Deliverance.
With elements of the company such as King Six having survived the initial Chimeran ambush, the unit received orders to rendezvous with the remnants of Captain Winters's unit near the bus depot, as he had planned to seize the depot from Chimeran forces to serve as a staging area for the rest of the Regiment. However, en-route to the gathering point, the unit was quickly ambushed and wiped out by nearby Chimeran forces who subsequently destroyed 1 of the 2 tanks that the unit possessed.
Sergeant Hale, having been the lone survivor of his unit, quickly discovered the deceased elements of King Company, and subsequently utilized their still-functioning tank to reinforce the pinned down Rangers awaiting reinforcements at the bust depot in York.[1]
