Iwao Ryusaki was a legendary Japanese weapons designer who developed the IWAO-R Chaingun that would go on to be used by the Maquis against the Chimera. The weapon was originally meant to be used by Japanese planes, but it was so light weight that with slight modification it could be used as an infantry weapon as well. Both the infantry model and plane model of the weapon would prove deadly on the battlefield.[1]
