The Fareye FR-1 is a sniper rifle that appears in Resistance: Retribution.

Description

The Fareye FR-1 is a Maquis counterpart to Britain's L23 Fareye. The FR-1 chambers a .303 Mk 10 round with a muzzle velocity of nearly 3400 ft/s. The secondary fire function activates a special attachment designed to accelerate neural activity with tailored electromagnetic pulses which creates the perception among snipers that time has slowed while in Focus Mode. Maquis engineers made the design decision to filter only low-mass objects, resulting in improved power consumption which allows the device to stay active indefinitely. One main difference with the L23 is its ammo count: it contains only 4 rounds instead of 6.

“	The Fareye FR-1 is a scoped rifle designed for long range combat. To go into scope mode tap the up button. To cycle through zoom settings tap the up button while in scope mode. Press and hold the L button to activate the rifle's Secondary Fire mode, an electromagnetic pulse slows down all low-mass targets, objects or enemies. The pulse effect is automatic and will last as long as it has energy: the meter in the lower right corner of the screen displays the currently available energy for the pulse effect. This energy will recharge slowly over time while the mode is not in use.	”
