Deathmatch, also known as Free For All in Resistance: Retribution, is a online multiplayer mode featured in every Resistance game, which puts every player against each other. The objective is to reach the kill limit first, or has the most kills when the time limit runs out.

Resistance: Fall of Man[]
- Players earns points for assists.
Resistance 2[]
- Players do not earn points for assists.
Resistance: Retribution[]
- Maximum number of players is 8.
Resistance 3[]
- Maximum number of players is between 2 and 16.
- Kill limit is between 5 and 100.
Resistance: Burning Skies[]
- Deathmatch is divided in two modes: Deathmatch Large or Deathmatch Small.
- Maximum number of players in Deathmatch Large is 8.
- Maximum number of players in Deathmatch Small is 4.
