Cocodrie is the ninth campaign level of Resistance 2.
Synopsis[]
Following the disastrous assault in Iceland, Nathan Hale was rescued by Joseph Capelli. Six weeks later, Hale wakes up in a field hospital in Cocodrie and learns from Malikov that his condition has become irreversible, and that he only has a few hours left before the Chimeran virus consumes him. Hale also learns from Capelli that the Chimera had breached the Liberty Defense Perimeter, killing 80 million people and forcing 3 million survivors to a Protection Camp in Baton Rouge. Daedalus had led his forces in excavating towers that were unknown to SRPA before leading his fleet to the Chicxulub Crater for unknown reasons.
Hale, deciding to make his last hours count, assists Capelli and Blake to carry out a desperate mission to destroy Daedalus and his fleet with a fission bomb. The Sentinels and Blake fought and secured a Chimeran shuttle to smuggle the bomb to Daedalus' flagship.

Tips[]
- Every type of grenade can be found in this level.
- Mansion area:
- Two L23 Fareye's can be collected from the graveyard.
- A fallen Black Ops soldier lies just outside the graveyard, with Carbine ammunition nearby.
- There is a V7 Splicer hidden behind one of the chimneys in the mansion's attic.
- In Superhuman mode, during the conveyor belt battle, defeated Black Ops soldiers are not replaced. This mechanic is unique to Superhuman difficulty. On all other settings, reinforcements will continue to spawn.
- The swamp area:
- At the beginning of the swamp stage, the player will face several Chameleons. It is possible to save all three Black Ops soldiers from the confrontations against the Chameleons and other Chimeran enemies. However, the surviving Black Ops soldiers will not climb onto the platform for the last battle of the level.
- Shortly after fighting a swarm of Leapers, the player will be attacked by Chameleons in a marshy area. Their presence can be easily detected by the ripples they create in the water.
- Private Osborne will not die, even if Chameleons attack him.
Trivia[]
- All of the tombstones in the graveyard, to the right of the mansion, are exact copies of each other.
- The Marauder battle:
- Regardless of where it is when the player deals lethal damage to the Marauder, it will always die in the same place in order to make a bridge for the player to leave the mansion area.
- After the Marauder is killed, it will still be shown as alive through the Auger Mark II's scope.
- The nuclear bomb is unaffected by gunfire and will not explode if shot by the player.
- There is a boxing gym in the main street. If the player look through the window there are a few punchbags and a ring with fresh blood splattered on the floor.
- There's an "EAT" restaurant in the high street like the one in Orick.
- During the cutscene where you find Blake, if you press START and then quickly resume the game, everything will turn green for a few seconds.
- If overwhelmed by Leapers in the sewers, Blake may occasionally use the grenade launcher attachment on his M5A2. This makes him one of the few supporting characters to utilize their weapon’s secondary fire—alongside Capelli, who occasionally deploys his shield.
- When Osborne or another Black Ops soldiers plant the C4 charge on the gate, they do not retrieve the charge from anywhere, and instead the charge will appear on the gate after a brief delay. Despite the warning to stand clear after planting the C4 on the gate, the player is never actually harmed by the explosion.
- In Cocodrie, as in the Orick, Twin Falls, and Chicago levels, the player can destroy and interact with various elements of the environment. While some interactions are familiar from previous levels, new ones are also introduced:
- Cars explode with flames upon destruction. Their glass windows can be shattered and the black and white tires can be punctured. Shooting at certain vehicles causes the hood, trunk, or doors to lift or open.
- Wooden benches can be broken apart, along with small wooden tables, chairs, wooden railings, and small wooden boxes. Radios are also destructible.
- Chimera cocoons can be destroyed and most glass elements throughout the scenery are destructible. Additionally, some lit ceiling lamps can be shattered.
