Breach is a multiplayer game mode featured in Resistance: Fall of Man and Resistance 3. Somewhat similar to Meltdown, the objective of Breach is to destroy the opposing team's Generator/Reactor.

Resistance: Fall of Man[]

Chimera and Human teams each have a base with a generator. The goal is to blow up the opposing team's generator by reducing its hit points. Scattered in the battlefield between the bases are are four nodes that can be captured. When a node is captured, the team's generator gains an automated enhancement, which includes landmines, sentry cannons, and more powerful weapon spawns for its defenders.

Resistance 3[]

Breach in Resistance 3 is similar to Fall of Man except teams must either defend or destroy three strategic nodes. Turret and Shield Nodes are optional targets that power the Reactor defenses. Destroyed nodes can be used as spawn locations. The team aiming to destroy the Reactor have 80 reserves, in which they have only a limited number of lives. The round ends when the Reactor is destroyed or the attackers have exhausted their reinforcements. The teams switch roles between rounds.
