Bonn

The dried-out riverbed in Bonn.

Bonn is a city located in the Cologne/Bonn Region, about 25 kilometers south of Cologne on the banks of the Rhine River in the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.

History[]

Bonn was devastated and occupied by the Chimera. A giant conversion center was later built in the city, in which it completely used and dried up the Rhine River in order to fuel the massive facility.[1]

On September 1, 1951, James Grayson and Maquis members Colonel Roland Mallery and Lt. Raine Bouchard investigated the Bonn conversion center. While approaching the facility, the group became separated, and Grayson fought his way through the ruined ghost town and was able to assists two Maquis soldiers to destroy a Hammer before entering the facility and able to regroup. However, Raine was captured and falling into the initial stages of the conversion process. Grayson refused to leave Raine behind and managed to rescue her while planting detonation charges in the facility's power core. After they escaped, Grayson's charges detonated, and the entire facility was destroyed.[2]
