Africa

Africa is the world's second-largest continent, after Asia. At about 30.2 million km² (11.7 million sq mi) including adjacent islands, it covers 6% of the Earth's total surface area and 20.4% of the total land area. The continent is surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea to the north, both the Suez Canal and the Red Sea along the Sinai Peninsula to the northeast, the Indian Ocean to the southeast, and the Atlantic Ocean to the west.

History

During the initial outbreak of the Chimeran War, the Chimera avoided in invading Africa due to the continent's warm temperature, especially around the coastal regions, being environmentally unsuitable for the Chimera's high body metabolism that would kill them. But by April 1952, the Chimera have evolved newer strains of the Chimeran virus along with more advanced heat radiation implants that allow their troops to withstand much higher temperatures. In which the Chimera launched a series of initial attacks via airships along the northern coasts on April 6th. There the Chimera established footholds along the coast and were able to quickly build large quantities of infrastructure, including conversion centers, and factories for producing drones, Stalkers and dropships. As of April 24th, the Chimera have swept across Africa with truly unimaginable speed. In the process, at least twenty-three Chimeran Towers were excavated across the continent, and only around 170,000 African civilians were evacuated from the Northern and Western parts of Africa by British military forces through aircraft carriers.

By 1957, The Chimera had completely taken over and dominate the whole continent of Africa. However, in August of that same year, the group of remaining human survivors in Republic of Chad had lured the huge army of Chimeran soldiers into the abandoned prison and killing more than 2,000 Chimeran fighters.
