The Abomination is a large Chimera that appears only in Resistance: Burning Skies. The creature is a boss in Military Ocean Terminal.

Description

The Abomination is a giant insect-like Chimera. Rather than attacking its enemies on its own, the Abomination spits out Chimeran parasites for backup. The Abomination's weakness are two small "sacs" inside its mouth.

The parasites spawned by the Abomination serve as suicide-bombers similar to Leeches, Boilers and Hags.

Resistance: Burning Skies

The Abomination attacks the military base in Bayonne in which Tom Riley accidentally falls onto the creatures back. Riley slowly makes his way to the creatures head, fighting against several "fire plants" along the way. Eventually, the Abomination throws Riley off its back and onto a large platform, Riley battles and defeats the Abomination.

Strategy

• In order to kill the Abomination, the player must use a long-ranged weapon such as the Bullseye or the M5A2 Folsom Carbine to shoot it in the eyes. When it spouts out the fire plants and exploding parasites, make sure to kill them as soon as you get the chance, but keep shooting it in the eyes with any long-range weapons once they're taken care of.
• Eventually it will open its mouth and scream in pain. Then you must use shoot the white sacs in its mouth; a Carbine or Bullseye are preferable weapons. The player will have to repeat this process one more time in order to defeat it. In terms of cover, on the left side of the rooftop on which you fight, there is a truck. Hiding behind the truck and shooting the Abomination with the Auger is a good way to stay out of sight and still affect it.
